Governance

Blueberry River Restoration Society was incorporated as a society in March 2023. The Society’s Purposes (as stated in the Society’s Constitution):

to plan, procure and administer restoration work that is identified by Blueberry River First Nations to protect and restore the ability for Blueberry River First Nations to exercise treaty rights and protect the Blueberry River First Nations culture and way of life;
to coordinate development of restoration plans with Blueberry River First Nations and the Province of British Columbia;
to support cultural restoration initiatives identified by Blueberry River First Nations;
to support the development of businesses, restoration expertise and training within Blueberry River First Nations territory and as prioritized by Blueberry River First Nations;
to communicate progress and report on successes achieved through investment; and
to perform all other restoration-related functions as set out in the Implementation Agreement between Blueberry River First Nations and the Province of British Columbia, as may be amended from time to time.
